KURO

Kuro was born from a desire to experiment with latex. I was interested by the flexible, malleable and skin-tight proprieties of the material that I worked on, in a way of offering some unique kind of boxes. Those containers are created from two different making processes. Made out of a timber frame, the first one reveals a natural grain onto its surface, whereas the other, due to its molding technique (using sponges and brushes) seems a bit more artificial and raw. Through its shape, size and surface, Kuro project interrogates our perception and knowledge of the material and allows the user to be conscious of its real nature.
